Or is it just me?
Answer:
It's not just you. The human face is asymmetrical. This means that one side may, indeed, look "good" and the other "evil." Really, it's just our genes working themselves out to create the most interesting collection of features. Scientists might say this is an evolutionary function; an advantageous trait for the diversification of the species. Others who have a more spiritual take on these things would say the differences in the two sides reflect the "yin and yang" of the individual, specifically, and of all humanity, in general.
I've done this with my own face, both from a picture and with two mirrors. My left side is the "sweet" side; my right side is the "mischievious" side. I don't like to assign "good" and "evil" tags to my features (or anyone else's). ; )
How is YOUR face divided?
Incidentally, there are some people whose faces are in near-perfect symmetry. I remember seeing this in a magazine like 20 years ago. It may have been "Time" or it could've been "Cosmo," for all I can remember. I just remember that they had several pictures of faces, one of which was Denzel Washington. His features are nearly in complete symmetry. The article was called something like "The Science of Beauty." The theory was the more symmetrical your features, the more you were perceived as beautiful. I thought this was laughable as the method by which they were "measuring" beauty was completely subjective (it was defined by the researchers, who are human, subject to cultural influence), even though they presented it in an "objective" format.
They diagrammed a face and showed what was considered beautiful, as perceived by the majority of people. The problem with this method is that beauty is defined differently within different cultures. So, their definition of beauty was flawed from the outset, making any conclusions drawn from such data ... flawed.
At any rate, Denzel IS quite beautiful, in my subjective opinion. ; )
I don't know about all that but I hate the red eye thing?
Just you. I look evil all the time. ;o)
I think it is just you.
I tried my photo and found innocence on both the halves. Believe you me.
Why don't you believe?
there is always two sides of a coin.
sometimes people feel happy and sometimes feel sad.
when u feel happy one half and you feel sad look another half.
ITS JUST YOU MY FRIEND I LOOK THE SAME ON BOTH SIDES. AND LOOK GOOD.
The 2 sides of your face are controlled by the 2 sides of your brain- Left hemisphere controls the right side of the face and vice versa That's why people who suffer strokes often are paralyzed on 1 side of the face. . In a real sense it reflects the 2 parts of your personality-left brain verbal/analytical, right brain visual/emotional. It's not good or evil, just different, and it's all YOU.
Not just you. It's fun to do. I've never noticed the 'evil' or 'good' thing but I've noticed the difference. Sometimes it looks like two separate people. Non-identical twins. Weird, huh? I guess that's what people mean when they want their picture taken from their good side.
