Track progress. It's easy to track your development making furniture, but it's hard when it's mathematic?

If you are interested in the art of furniture making, I find it easy to track my progress, because I can see the result. And it brings some satisfaction.

Just like when I'm into programming, I can see the program works. I have some satisfaction.

But why I'm not to satisfy with mathematics. I couldn't feel happy after solving a math problems. Do you? Do you have any tricks to feel satisfaction and to know that today you are better than yesterday?

Answer:
..Compared to other developmental activities, progress in mathematics is fairly easy to quantify, define, observe and measure. Two things -

1. Relate our mathematics skill development to practical aspects of your future. If you can't think of any, discuss this with your teachers. You need to see the value in this.

2. Define the result you want in specific terms. Make the goal ambitious but realistic...by a certain date. Maybe it's solving a set of problems provided by your teacher. Then work on achieving it. Reward yourself when you do. Then set more goals.
