Do relationships serve a purpose in your development and can they end because that purpose has been fulfilled?
Answer:
Perhaps that is true, but if they were in the relationship for those reasons. Maybe it was the wrong reason for it.
Still things change, people grow apart, no shame in it really.
But maybe not the reason to get into a relationship with somebody. To be fair to eachother, a person should have a good sense of self before entering into something like that.
one must kiss many frogs before one finds one's prince...it's just that simple.
Yes all relationships serve some purpose, in the selfish sense.
In the non selfish sense, the ultimate relationship is the kind where there is give and take. At times we all need to give more and when the road gets rough for us personally, maybe then it's our time to take a little (emotional help) from others.
Socially speaking, there is the possibility of making friends and then growing apart for various reasons. Maybe your goals change, maybe you are growing apart, etc.
But humanly speaking, we should always remain kind to people and if relationships end, well, we ought to still be on good terms with those people. You don't want to 'burn your bridges' as they say.
I, along with many others, have had friendships come and go. Sadly, some ended badly. Happily, some people I still talk w/ periodically.
But we are social creatures by nature. We were not meant to be 'isolated' from each other. That keeps us dependant and caring for others if 'we're all in this together'.
Yes they serve a purpose to help you grow as an individual!
how ever that does not mean the relationship ends your life will end if you don't have another purpose to fill so there are more like a best friend!
someone you can tell anything to and gain true insight! and help you grow!
but yes some people will will end that relationship because they are done using that human! :( how sad
yes, i think a relationship can end when you feel like it's not growing, it's static and not enriching your life in any way. but before you end it, it's better to give it a lot of thought and see whether the "dead-end" is permanent or it's just a phase you're going through.
