I had a really creepy dream last night, and now I can't get it off my mind?

I usually don't remember my dreams, but this one was especially disturbing. I don't know why I dreamt it or why I remember, but how do I forget it or get it off my mind?! It's creeping me out every time I think about it. x.x

Answer:
I have two very different suggestions. Choose which one sounds more like it would work for you personally:

The first option is to attempt to forget about it entirely. Make sure you're in public places a lot over the next day or so; that way, you won't be left alone with your thoughts. Find friends to keep you chatting about things. Consciously switch to a different memory every time you find yourself thinking about it.

The second option is drastically different, and it's the one that works better for me personally: sometimes you just have to think through something thoroughly before it will go away. If there is someone you can feel comfortable telling your dream to, do so. If not, tell your dream out loud in a room by yourself where you're in no danger of being overheard. Tell the dream several times. Try writing it down. Say it again and again; imagine you have an audience, and each time to you tell the dream, try to find better ways of communicating the dream and how it made you feel. Eventually, you will be able to distance yourself from the "story".
play resident evil 4, watch psycho or you know just run into a wall until you forget
look up what it means online, that might help
I have those kinds of dreams all the time... they hardly even phase me anymore. I'm an enigma, even unto myself.

But, if it's on your mind that much, see if you can find someone who can interpret dreams, so they can help you figure out what your subconscious is trying to tell you. There's bound to be something Online that can tell you at least something. Try googling 'dream interpretations' and see what comes up.
Often nightmares are caused by stress, traumatic experiences, emotional difficulties, drugs or medication, or illness. However, some people have frequent nightmares that seem unrelated to their waking lives. Recent studies suggest that these people tend to be more open, sensitive, trusting, and emotional than average
