What was the most challenging issue, you experienced in your life?

What was it, and how did it effect you? Did it make you a better person, and did you learn from it?

Answer:
recovering from severe depression: i think im stronger now. and able to help others
I was involved in a relationship with a guy that turned out to be controlling, alcoholic and verbally abusive. I thought i could change him and after 4 years realized that nobody can be changed unless they want it. I learned to be much stronger, more self reliant, independent, self sufficient and i learned after I got out of that mess how to love and trust again. Truly made me stronger in the end.
Having an unexpected child in my 40's. Boy what a life change! Yes, I'm better for it, I believe. I know she's here for a very important reason, since we haven't been able to have a baby for 15 years!! What doesn't kill us can only make us stronger!!
had to be when i was diagnosed with MS, RA and a cyst in my brain, all within months of each other. at first i really got on the pity train and stopped doing all the things i loved. i am a jewelry designer/silversmith, it made me think that i would no longer be able to use my hands for the things i loved to do the most. i am still struggling with the possibilities of what the future holds, but am know trying to battle these diseases and have a positive look on it so i can not only help my self through this but also others.
finding out that my dad wasent my dad, it made me sad for a while but then it made me stronger!
