This kid owes me 20 dollars, and when he brought them to shool they got stolen. School is almost over what do?
Answer:
If the money was stolen from him and not from you (if in fact he ever even brought the money to school) then he still owes you the money. Let's say I was going to the bank to pay on a loan and I was robbed before I paid the bank. Would I still owe the bank the money or would they say that's OK we know you meant to pay us and forgive my debt? Of course they would not! My personal opinion is that he is just trying to stiff you for the money. You probably will never collect from him but let him or his parents or even a teacher know that he still owes you and that you expect to be repaid. That is the best lesson that you can teach him. If you don't he will think that he can scam everyone just like he has tried to scam you.
HOW CONVIENIENT WHEN HE BROUGHT THE MONEY IT GOT STOLEN...WHOA HAS HE TRIED TO BRING IT AGAIN...BETTER YET ONCE. THE MONEY DIDN'T GET STOLEN...HE NEVER BROUGHT IT...U ARE JUST A DUMB AS HE IS.COME ON!!
forgive the debt...in the long run 20 bucks is nothing but the example you set for this kid could last a lifetime..
i would just let him off.
I don't think there's much you can do.. the kid who borrowed the money brought it to school and it got stolen.. would he be willing to bring you another 20 bucks and paying you back? unlikely.. but you can always ask him.. next time when someone wants to borrow don't lend out so much.. =/
Stolen from whom? If it was stolen from him, he still owes you the money. If he gave it to you, and it was stolen from you..then his debt is paid.
It's going to be hard to figure out who stole it, but some detective work might come up with the culprit. I'm assuming this theft has been reported to the school administration?
if that kid isnt your friend,
find out where he lives, and tell his parents he owes you 60 bucks. They will return the money to you, and quite possibly beat the kid up.
Or you could tell the teacher as well. If he is not the teacher's pet.
I would definitely hold him to it, and get ur money back.
Toward the end of the school year...I once gave this girl 5 cassettes (I know, it was a while back)
and she was supposed to record some music for me...
in return i lent her my Soundgarded CD...
well...she jipped me!
Never saw the cassettes or CD or the girl ever again...
and I regret it to this day!
you got burned, dude. your money is gone. lesson learned. don't let paople borrow money. or don't front anyone anything that they should be paying for when they get it.
