Why are guys so scarred to commit? if they like and enjoy the person they are with?

When speaking of a group of people in which not all of them meet your specified criteria, it is then best to use the word "some" to categorize them. "Why are some guys scared to commit?"
The answer is that there is more to a longterm relationship than simply liking and enjoy that person you are with. You have to be able to endure the bad as well as the good, meaning in the situations you might encounter and in the person you are with. Uncertainty in this area can keep any person from wishing to commit to another. Especially if other factors are added in, such as bad prior relationships.
How old is the guy in question. I have been married for 5 years. But I didn't get married until 26. Until people are out of college, don't expect a commitment.
i'm asking myself the same thing over and over again...desperately...i guess they just wanna feel free...and free to do whatever they want...i have no other explanation...
Scarred? No
Scared, even? No
But many people, consciously or not, realize that if they've only been with a few people then they really have no idea what could be out there waiting for them.
You can't truly appreciate the good if you haven't experienced the bad. And if you haven't experienced much at all, then there's no way to tell if what you have, even though it feels good, may just be mediocre.
It's a cold way to see it, but I think many people have that thought floating around somewhere in their mind. If they know it or not.
my friend has this problem BIG time. we've come up with a lot of reasons:
-he's gay
-he's a pansy
-he doesn't want to limit himself to 1 girl, he likes hooking up with lots of girls
-he's a man whore
-So she can't get mad at him just in case he does something with someone else.
it's rediculious, they act like they're dating and he even promised her that he won't do things with other girls, but they still arent' "together". and sometimes he goes off with other girls anyway.
good luck, though I suggest you move on to a real man. it's too tiring waiting for something that won't ever happen.

i agree i wouldn't say all guys or just guys in that matter you will find theres probally that same amount of females as there are males that wont commit to a relationship so there for the question should be how come some people cant commit while others can and it has nothing to do with age although sometimes it does help but it all lies within the one person and how they have lived
comitment is like a leash guys. and i am one so i know. are like dogs and the girl they like is there master. putting on the leash gives the master compleat control while this isint always a bad thing sence wemon seem to be the other half of our minds that keeps us from doing dumb stuff alot of us have been with some one who abuses that leash commnly referd to as that crazy phyco bi@%& and after thyat we arent that keen to hand it out again
