Dream with a lion that has stayed with me all day?
Answer:
You may be ruminating about an unfortunate childhood experienced that you had at your elementary school playground.
If sounds as if the experience was more psychological than physical. You may have been berated by another child who used his words to frighten you rather than his fists.
You survived that onslaught, but are still ruminating about how you could have responded in a manner that diffused the situation rather than burning it into your subconscious.
I don't try out others' dreams unless really in the mood but yours caught my eye. Your descriptioon of the lion is quite vivid, and the boy as well. The only emotions in this dream are the tetherball courts, happiness, and boy approaching lion, fear. There is something very peaceful in your description, I don't know how to respond in much other way. The words you use to describe the dream--the lawn, lion, lying, make me asociate to the word-pun of dreams. That is, there may be a lie that is known or suspected or was told, and it is bothering you. The end of the dream is so peacful, with boy and lion back against back, holding one another up. I don't get carried away by Carl Jung too much but you might search some of his dream symbols. This is a very rich dream and I would just keep it close for awhile and see if you can discern if the boy represents you--whether you are male or female--and what your associations to the color red are.
I am no doubt way off base but just enjoyed myself and my supposed dream skills!
