Need help on Spearman "g" theory question. Does this theory suggest a) all intellectual activities share a

common factor. b)intelligence is comprised of many different abilities c)intelligence is a facet of personality d)intelligence is primarily a function of biology. I know what the "g" theory is but am confused as to how it relates to any of these choices. Any brains out there that can help?

Answer:
I'm stumped and think there's a tie between options a and b. It depends on how they are interpreted.
a) could mean that all the intellectual activities (with the g factor that would mean fluid, crystallised, short term memory etc) share a common factor namely g.
b) could mean that intelligence, namely g, is compreised of diffierent abilities such as gc, gf, gsm etc.

However, option b could also mean the multiple intelligences theory by Gardner instead of Spearman's theory. I'm pretty sure it does not suggest options c or d.

I know you were hoping for a definitive answer, but I'm sorta stuck as well.

But, I hope this helps...

Good luck!
