Jealousy is destroying me. How to overcome it?
Answer:
u mean ur jealousy over others or others' jealousy over to u.?
you have to first accept yourself of all the things you have and who you are accept the fact that there are things in life which you will never have if god doesnot want you to have them start being greatful for the things you have and treasure them as if they are here today and gone tomorrow
Well, this is difficult because the only answer is to believe everything you have and do is best for you
I know, i know...it's easier said than done, but if you want to overcome it than stop comparing yourself to people immediatly
you aren't them and they aren't you so what is the point in trying to be the same...if you are christian..God made you different...if you aren't sorry
Anyway, another thing...see all of the talents or possessions you have that other people may not. Also, you would be suprised how many people are jealous of you...even if you don't believe it
Hey I hope it hasn't TOTALLY destroyed you...remember if you fall back just look at all the positive things in your life
Relax. Trust the other person until they give you a reason not to trust them.
Maybe if you realize that no one in the entire history of mankind has what you have or can ever be who you are. You have a unique destiny that only you can fulfill. Be content with whatever that destiny is and be grateful for who and what you are. Joseph Campbell said, "Find your bliss" and all else will fall into place. Maybe you're putting your focus on others and not on yourself and what is within your realm to control. I'm sure you've been blessed with many gifts that the world needs. Think about what you can give (and not get) and slowly but surely these feelings of jealousy will go away.
Be self-confident..Believe in you..Be proud of yourself.Look at the good side of yours.. Also try to be satisfied with what you've got(It's easier said than to act accordingly)..
Look at those who are below you and be happy of the position you are in..
Either move on or become more mature so it won't bother you.
