Have big ideas, and dreams, how do you turn them into reality?
Answer:
Rachel,
Tackle one dream at a time. Say that you would like to have your own restaurant, then you must be clear about what role is that you will like to serve in it, will you be the partner, manager, chef, waiter, dishwasher, or delivery person? Get the point? (1) You need to identify and be specific, so you’re clear about what exactly you are after. Say, you want to be the manager of your own restaurant, for this you may need to go to school to better prepare yourself. While in school you may want to start looking for jobs, where after a few years of working and moving up in the ladder, you’re promoted to the manager position. This way, you would gain the experience necessary to learn how to properly run a restaurant, and once you are ready to open yours you won’t be a novice.
(2) Once you're clear about what your target position is write a plan for executing it (i.e. step by step). Again, if you want to be the manager of your own restaurant you would need the following to know what you need that so far you don’t have. A good indicator of what you will need is reading the posting job ads, these will tell you what are the requirements. Once you know what the requirements are for this position, you could come up with a plan on how to acquire each skill and experience. Once you know what is needed- start building each skill- and set dates for accomplishing each step to the targeted goal. Be realistic when giving when allotting the time for completion. Because your big goal is to also own a restaurant- once you accomplish one goal, move on to the other like finding out how much money you would need to buy the type of restaurant you want, and how long it would take you to get the amount of money necessary. Some goals you could do simultaneously- but don't get sidetracked or distracted.
(3) Sometimes when you are a dreamer, it could mean that you aren’t a doer. So during the planning period or the building of each skill set, you may get disappointed at all the work it needs to get done before reaching your goal- so be mindful of this, and stick to your plan so you build discipline.
Also, if you notice that there is something that isn't working, change it!
Remember that is very important you have set dates for accomplishing each step of your goal and you’re clear about what are the steps and how to accomplish them, because unless you do you may get confused and sidetracked. A goal without a plan is just a wish. So start making your dreams come true.
Good luck!
believeing in god and having a large bank roll doesnt hurt also
focus on just one big dream at a time. One that's immensely closest to your heart. Then organize your life, friends and contacts around this dream.
You will surely fail many times at first but never give up.
Get lots of sleep too. This helps a lot.
If you have your dreams, then you live everyday according to how you want it to be but always have your goals in mind, be determined and you will see that you will start achieving your dreams gradually. Most especially, trust in God.
I'd recommend "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki. Learn about using 'other people's money' to accomplish your goals.
Also, learn that people will do just about anything for money. Or if they believe they will get money for doing it.
Spending money is part of making money. It must flow through you. Similar to the force in starwars. The more flowing through you, the more you'll be able grab as it goes by. Just be sure your out isn't higher than your in unless you've got some reserves.
There's no easy answer to this. Most everyone has "many" dreams, but faith and determination always work best when focused on one path. Invest a day in choosing which dream means the most to you, then take one action toward that ideal. Keep your dream foremost in your mind and allow your goal and your new ideal to be a primary influence in your daily decisions. Taking less money to work in a publishing house rather than more to work in department store makes perfect sense when it gets you on your path. Choosing ONE goal is often the hardest thing. You don't necessarily have to eliminate all others. You just need to focus your efforts and attention on the one that means the most to you until you either achieve your goal, or a new and greater path reveals itself.
