Am I weird?
You know when there is a TV programme which involves someone being filmed by camcorder and the sound is slightly distorted or amplified, so when they are driving, for example you hear the car indicators, or the keys jangling, or if they rustle paper or something it sounds different. I love that. I wish it made the same noise generally in life when I do those things. Am I a freak or does anyone else have the same feeling?!

No, that's not weird (I guess) I like certain sounds like that too. I love the sound of paper being rustled, I also love the sound of leather & vinyl squeaking. (like when someone sits on a leather couch. Here's one for you, I love smelling things, especially books & magazines. If I'm in a store & I go to look at magazines, I'll make sure nobody's watching me, so they don't think I'm a weirdo & I'll smell the magazines. I don't know, I just like the smell of the paper. Equally as much there are sounds that drive me nuts, first & foremost, I can't stand the sound of someone scraping a pot or pan & I hate smacking & slurping when people eat, drink, & especially chewing gum. So if you're weird, then I guess I am too. I just think that most other people get too caught up in other things to really stop & think about smells & sounds.

I think you just like to take the world in as a whole, and not focus on just one thing, such as the conversation the person in the programme is having.

Don`t think you`re freaky at all. Some folks like the sound of the surf, the birds in the air, the wind in the trees or the bustle of the city. The camcorder's audio pick-up distorts the sound in a way your ear finds appealing.
No such thing as normal..If your not causing any harm,wheres the problem...

no I wouldnt say ur a freak you like that, it doesnt make you a freak. I love animals does everyone love animals no, does that make me a freak, no. Everyone is different and likes different things BIG deal I think it's cool u find interest in things um most people wouldnt find intersting
So many people walk around everyday with blinders on so to speak. So being one of the persons that really do stop to hear the birds singing or that car coming up on your real fast as you cross a busy intersection! ! !
May save your life do not let the little noises in life pass you by embrace them as one day you may find yourself with the blinders on and start to miss parts of life... you are not weird in any way!

You take pleasure from sensory perception, absolutely nothing weird about that. If people didn't take pleasure from such things there would be no art or music and the world would be a sadder and poorer place. In fact, if you think about it, we would probably be extinct, as it's pleasure from sensory perception that makes us enjoy sex so much.
I have asperger's syndrome, which is a form of Autism, and suffer badly from a trait called noise sensitivity. Whereas people normally filter out background noise, I hear everything loud and clear - rain dripping from the gutter outside, car indicators, people chewing gum, even people sharpening pencils in classrooms. It's just like you see on the tv scenes you describe and after more than five minutes it's very, VERY ANNOYING.
I avoid busy places because of it. It's not something you'd want permanently, trust me.
On the plus side, people have learned not to whisper around me or talk about things they don't want me to know because I can hear them from other rooms or upstairs!

Haha aren't you a funny one!? I guess it's a case of our ears hearing things from a different audio perspective. It's like our voices. When i hear myself on video camera i cringe, that's not the same voice that i hear every day! But which is real? We all hear and see things differently, for better or worse. I like the fact that we're all unique like that. What you call blue, i might see as green and that doesn't mean either of us is colour blind, it's just our brains interpretation! So no, you're certainly not weird, just another unique specimen of the human race! x

I have come across such a wide range of characters in my short time. Look you just have a taste for something thats diffrent (and if people didnt have that about them life would suck)
Some people like to try and make others feel like they are lesser somehow - dont listen to em. You dont seem to have any sort of thing goin on there that is way out there and creepy - jus diffrent (where as those that like to make others feel lesser are somewhat creepy).
-so you like that sort of thing? get a lil tape recorder and diy! enjoy your diffrences and your similaritys with others, never know someone might be impressed with your confidence ;)
