How can i be more argumentative?
Answer:
Follow the common rules of good debating...learn about BOTH sides of an issue before you get involved in an argument about it.
Once you can see and understand BOTH sides, you'll be amazed at the points you can actually make without sounding misinformed.you'll get your point across and get more respect if you know how to properly discern fact from just argumentative rhetoric too.
Become more opinionated.
Why would you want to be? Arguing is a complete waste of time and gets nothing resolved. How about becoming a better talker or listener or mediator? That would be more fulfilling and help people resolve issues instead of making matters worse.
Figure out what you believe in and then stick up for it, argue w/ people when they say something u don't like.
What do you mean by 'argumentative'? Do you want to argue for the sake of arguing, or do you want to be able to propose and defend your own positions? Anyone can argue. Debate is different. Look for books on that topic: debate. You can find lots of books like this, probably at your local library: How to Argue And Win Everytime, for example
Honestly, the best way to be argumentative is to find a single weak point within a topic and expand it into a larger argument that has nothing to do with what the actual argument is about. In other words, make sure they play on your field and not you on theirs.
I'm quite sure my 17 year old so could give you pointers on that...lol
