Answer:
I'm not afraid of dieing... I am afraid of what my kids will have to go through without me.
I'm not afraid of dying when I'm 90 years old, it'll come naturally then and nothing I can do about it.
Isn't everyone ? !! ..xx
no, i am the highlander, and live in paisley.
I am going to die in bed, at the age of 96...shot by a jealous husband.

I'm not scared.
it doesn't matter
Yes. Not of the actual event but about the fact that after it, there seems to absolutley nothing. I just hope death either jumps up from behind or happens in such a way that my consciousness eventually loses a grip on the reality of the situation. I find it is best not to think about it, but, of course, in the solitude of night it is hard not to.
no im not scared of dying, i just know thres something better than this life out there and it sounds like a real nice place to go.
gotta be better than this
yeah... i dont want it to hurt..im really scareddof getting old too though . if dying was easy id do it now.
Its nothing to be afraid of

Like being born Its happened to every person that ever lived

Im not afraid of death, and in losing the fear of death I am afraid of very little in life
I'm not scared of dieing. I really don't see why anyone should be scared, but whatever. It's going to happen one day whether you like it or not so why worry? Besides it's probably better than living, heh.
Yeah I'm really frightened, no kidding I think about it all the time and hope I just go in my sleep.
Wow,this is a tough question.I haven't died so I can't tell you from personal experience, but I have faith in God.My faith tells me that there is an afterlife for those who believe and those who accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Do you have anyone who can tell you about God and how to get saved. If you believe, you will be ok.I am so sorry for what you are going through.
People who have had a 'near death' experience may be able to answer this question in part. Note though NEAR death. We are only told one one person who has conquered death. I don't think we are brainwashed at all. Faith is a choice. No one who alive now can tell us what it is like to die! Personally, I'm not afraid of being dead it's the bit in between I don't like the idea of, the process of dying .
either way, death is nothing to be afraid of, worse scenario, that there is no afterlife, that means that when we're done, we're done and theres nothing to regret. no need to think about death, just think about living life to the fullest so that when we die, we have no regrets and everything is left as you would want it to be
i'll start with i'm drunk so forgive me ,but i think of dying and i can't sleep,it scares me so much,i have a such a fear of dying i can't express how much, when i know no matter what i do i can't escape it,thanks i'm not going to sleep now
never botherd me really un til i found out a mate died this morning age 39 running for a bus heart attack !! just hope it dont hurt when my time is up or in a undignified manner
There is one constant in the Universe; it is the constant of energy.

By this everything is energy and no matter what state we may be both living or dead our 'existance' remains as this energy.

In a way when we die only are earth existance ends not our energy thus we exist as energy beyon time.

As for what we see when we cease to exist in our current form; we will only know when we move on but we will all find out one day.
I'm sure you'll find out one day.
I used to be scared of dying, but as I've had kids and see my family getting older, I've realised life is a gift and you have to make the most of it. Everyone gets a shot at life and we have a limited time on this earth - death is part of life and we know that from a young age. I now just get on with it and try make it a good one - hopefully I'll die at an old age and live to see my grandkids, but lets just see what happens!
what do YOU believe happens
would you be afraid if nothing happens after death?
would you be afraid if you believed you deserve punishment or reward for the way you have lived your life?
wheat becomes food or more wheat-it is the luck of the draw because it is what it is and cannot be anything else.
humans become whatever they choose OR are allowed to choose.and who decides what we are allowed to become? is it only ourselves or something else?
I can not see the air but it is all around me. it allows me to breathe and survive even though it owes me nothing...but if/when the air goes bad and I don't it recognize and react I die. so pay attention and always be aware that no matter what you do or don't do eventually you will experience the consequences-good or bad.
it truly is the golden rule-do unto others as you would have them do to you-and let what happens after death take care of itself. if you can hold your head high knowing you have lived a life of intention (as you should) instead of apathy then in my opinion be at peace because fear is the illusion.
when we die our body dies and we wait in total surspention on till god comes and then every one that died will live and we will all be reunited to be judge and to repent for our sins see when we die we die the body and soul stays dead not wondering not in heaven nothing we just sleep and when we arise its just like picking up wher you left off only you have to answere to to jesus for all the wrong things youve done ..get to you bible john 11.11 and john 11.47 and read it
I'm only afraid of dying in that I'd like to die a certain way, and worry that I may not be able to (for any number of reasons).

I'm an atheist, so I don't believe in any god, but I'm not convinced one way or the other about whether or not we're any more than can be seen.

Bah, the short of it is: no, i'm not frightened of the process of dying, only the manner.
Everyone is scared of the unknown - especially death.

Death is so final, what happens after we will never know.

Everyone has ideas or beliefs as to what happens after death, eg nothing, go to heaven or hell, etc. It's not brainwashing, it's a person's right to believe what they wish to believe in and air these views if they wish.

However, no one has the right to impose their own beliefs onto others or to ridicule other people's beliefs - it's a basic human right!
No l'm not.
you love dieing if u hate life.. as long as we live, we seek for perfection. nobody is perfect, so till the end we'll be unhappy. when we're happy we love life n don't want to die..be immortal, if we can. so, basic explaination.. :) me? id like to die. not now tho..
Hi Rita,
There is a book called 'Grace And Grit', written by Ken Wilber. I have reccomended it to many people who have been afraid of death.
It tells the story of Ken's life with his new wife from when she was diagnosed as having breast cancer until her death five years later.
It is a beautiful book, wise and funny, tragic and fascinating.
Everyone I know who has read it feels better for having done so.
If you are really scared of death, Rita, read this book.
i have not been brainwashed dying is an incentive for living
