The main thing that reveals a lie is a sudden change from the norm in expressions, movements, and body language. A liar is stressed during and shortly after a lie so body language indicates stress. This often is indicated by self-comforting gestures with the hands such as rubbing the nose or scratching the face. Often the palms of the hands are suddenly hidden from view.
You will also find people touching their mouth, becoming very wide-eyed, looking away, stuttering, saying "um".
Very hard to generalize, but avoiding eye contact and becoming rigid in the way one carries the shoulders, arms could be a sign.
Well, the obvious signs would be figiting, anxiety, or wandering eyes. I'm not terribly sure of any deeper signs than that, though.

First off, ignore the body language if you don't know them well. If it doesn't make sense he's lying. A lot of people do these things when they're lying: scratch, laugh, look away, fidget, scratch their head, and so on. If you watch people you can learn their nervous twitch. If you're dating a 17 year old boy you could say when they move their mouth they're probably lying...lol. If you can't trust him don't waist your time. On last thing, if you think somebody is lying it's about a 4 out of 5 chance they are. Don't let him mess with your head.

When someone is lying the pupils constrict. They often look you directly in the eye when telling an outright lie. Liars also often touch their lips or cover their mouths during or after a lie.
Looking at other body language can reveal how the person is feeling and can help you figure out if they had just told you a lie or are about to. If their arms are crossed it usually means they aren't comfortable in this situation, (either that or they're cold). If the feet are pointing away or towards an exit, that reveals where they want to go.
when they can't look you in the eye, get agitated, overly react and get way too pissed if you are questioning them, fidget alot, pupils will dilate.
They start picking their shirts or whatever and they will probably brake eye contact
Well my dads nose flares when he is lying ...my hubby starts to walk around alot..when they can't stay still and have to move so you really can't look them right in the eye they are lying..( most of the time)

No eye contact, smiling nervously.the doubt in your gut is a good signal. If in doubt check out to see if the person is lying.use your woman's intuition!
