No, I would not believe them, but I might ask how they found out they were a pathological liar to try and get some more of their story, and then I would discount what they told me as a lie. To believe anyone without their offering some valid proofs is the search for easy answers, which usually turn out to be false.
There is no way a pathological liar would tell you they were one. Half the time they don't realise they are doing it and secondly telling lies isn't a problem to them.
