How to let go of things that bother the most?

I am working with the anger management problem and I would like to know some tips of how to let go of things? Like ways, ideas. I am looking for more personal experiences that have actually worked for people. I have read lot of book on self help but nothing strikes me that has worked really well. Please and thanks for answering

Rich is right. Anger is like a cancer and will hurt you in so many ways. I hated this person so much that I ended up with an ulcer and headaches! I used so much of my energy trying to think of ways to get even with this person that it was eating me alive. My mother told me to Let go and Let God. Best thing she ever told me." Vengeance is Mine says the Lord" in His time my Mother would say. This person did something unforgivable to one of my children and the law would do nothing about it and I just wanted to take justice into my own hands but it was making me sick and making me a bitter person. So I just said, "Lord, this is out of my hands now and I'm putting it in yours to do as you see fit, I lay it at your feet." And with that I got on with my life and I got better and so did my life. In the end this persons life did not end well and neither did their family and no I didn't rejoice in that. But who is the better Judge, us or God? I try to practice what I preach and remember my Mother's words as well as Gods. Prayer, does work and it's been scientifically proven, how that! Hope this helps. God Bless and be well.
I had an incident with my previous boss where he threatened to beat me up...really. I hated him for so long. A dear friend told me to pray for him. I thought it was the most ridiculous thing because I just wanted him to drop dead. But I needed resolution so I was ready to try anything. After I prayed for him for about a month, my anger and hatred went away. It was almost like I prayed for myself by praying for him.

I don't know what's bothering you, but try prayer. It really worked for me.
