How do you handle gossips and backstabbers ?
Answer:
I knew an office administrator who, when mean gossip was going around, would call in the people spreading the gossip and the person(s) being gossiped about, and ask the gossipers to explain why they said what they said. In other words, they were BUSTED. Cured them real fast.
Make the gossiper suffer some backlash every time they behave badly and eventually they should learn the lesson.
you ignore it.
Never say anything to gossips you don't want repeated, probably somewhat incorrectly and don't turn your back on backstabbers.
Remove yourself from these people. They will steal your soul, and your pride if you allow them to.
Actively tell them you don't want to be friends with them anymore, it's happened to me so many times i have become numb to it, i just tell them to **** off and what goes around will come around to them.
don't repeat it. when confronted. simply state that gossip is untrue.
Ignore it; unless it really interferes with your life. Then you get to talking to a lawyer for slander!
Ignore them. Keep your inner circle small.
Don't open the door. If you know that their that way, then why invite them into your business? If you open the door, then it's nobodies fault but yours when they take it to the streets. If you stand up to a spineless person like that and set them straight, then they'll back down and shut up because they're weak!
As for gossips - these are usually done by people you don't care about so I ignore it.
As for backstabbers - these are usually done by people I care about (friends, colleagues...) so I will feel downhearted. But I would still ignore it. If you allow people to treat you like that then they will not stop bullying you.
i used to be one of them (gossip, that is), still wanna do it sometimes. but people who are hurtful, i just try to stay away from them... i have learned that as i get older i have much less tolerance for stupidity.
