What defines a down-to-earth person?...?

Answer:
This person does not try to be something he/she is not. They are comfortable in their own skin and are not out to impress anybody else. They are content with themselves and their circumstances. Often, I think this type of person goes out of their way to help others when they can, without expecting anything in return. This type of person has a way of making those around him/her feel at ease, because they are. They realize their own limitations, work with what they've got and have peace about it!
I think it means its a person who knows when things are real or not and people that dont fool around to much.
In my opinion, someone who cares about others and put others first instead of themselves. Someone who isn't selfish, someone who doesn't crave/go crazy about power/money/fame or once they have it.
someone who is not stuck up and can relate to others easily. Someone whose head is not in the clouds, and is genuine
Gravity
It's an old computer term wysiwig.

Someone who has been beamed down from Mars.
Calls a spade a spade; says it how it is. Realistic in his aspirations.
Hi,

i would say someone who is down to earth depends on what your definition of normality is, usually someone we can relate to on our own level, is those we call down to earth, so depends where your earth is...if you get my drift. Its usually said about someone who we possibily don't expect to interact withus on our level or terms, like a doctor, teacher, lawyer, celebrity, someone who seems to have a higher status than us and whom we expect to act superior..when they don't act this way, we refer to them as being down to earth!

Hope that helps in your search for the definition, its ony my opinion
best of luck
