my friend does it and she knows how much it annoys the rest of us but it doesnt stop her, she gets more than some of us who just work.
i cant work due to ill health & find it hard living on benefits, i'd love to be able to work but would never claim benefits if i could.
millions i imagine. a better angle would be how many people who are economic migrants and refugees draw dole and have never ever paid one penny in taxes and Ni contributions. and work.
at least our homegrown doleys pay tax... and they arent always signing on. theres lots of seasonal workers.
England has a minority of people who live their lives on a benefit system, its not much of a life, but its what they choose. it has millions of others who do work... and thats how it is. but even the workers dont work all the time. 40 years without a break in employment... no, them days are long gone.
my father was an aeroengineer, he worked on the prototypes of the Concord and the Harrier Jump Jet. he got made redundant at 55, he signed on a went scavenging in landfill sites for scrap metal, brass bronze copper and aluminium, which he'd weigh in once a month and make maybe 75 quid... is that working? because the dole would have you believe it was... after a lifetime of graft in factories making aeroplane engines for the government, his dole money was tantamount to a slap... when our backs are to the wall, we can be very creative, without resorting to outright fiddling...
as with everything theres always degrees of culpability.
Too many,they are nothing but parasitic leeches who should be imprisoned and forced to work off the money that they have stolen !
Enought to justify the prime time television and billboard adverts.
England has a huuuuge black economy. Take it away and the country will collapse :-)
