Do liars live in fantasy worlds?

do they really believe what they say and do, and are they very disturbed?

Answer:
some do believe they what they are saying is true, and would argue the fact that they are correct. These people need a wee bit of help!
i hate liars! they p*ss me off!
kind of..
yea...so much tht they themselves get all wraped up in their own lies
I have a friend who lies all the time. I don't know why he does it? Sorry.
SOMETHIMES BEEEECH GIVE U HELL SO U HAVE TO GO AN N LIE N CHEAT ITS THE ONLY WAY A PERSON WILL HAV NO FEELINS
AND HAVIN NO FEELIN MEANS THEY CANT BE SAD OR GET HURT
ITS QUITE SIMPLE
Some are plain disturbed: those "professional" mythomans.
But most of them are just planning an easy way for their future.
All our worlds are fantasy worlds, but some are more fantastic than others. Most liars know they are not telling the truth - that's why lie detectors work most of the time. Those that don't realise they're lying are the most dangerous ones, or they are completely gone ('I'm Jesus Christ' types).
I'm the Emperor of Mesopotamia.
yes but then again im a liar
Liars live on liying they know little else, and yes they believe and also you are correct live in Fantasy, disturbed a little and why i say this is they are lying because they are escaping from reality. Reality hurts lots and lying is better Exam: i have a rolls royce and money, when they dont but like to so so you get what i am saying. Liars fantasies are what they would like to be but cannot.
They live in lie, in their own fantasy, which is not real. Ur life are real, so don't border about those liar, and live ur life to the fullest.
Liars - like the ones that lie to get themselves out of a sticky situation, or to further their way in the world somehow, well, they know what they're doing & it's not that they believe so much in their own crap (lies) but invent it to get themselves through one way or another.rather than being fantacists, they're creating a situation that needs getting out of - in which case they're cowards...then there are others that may find themselves in a situation in which they lie to make better of..lies are based on fear.

Liars - like the ones that exagerate situations - like add details that were never there in the first place are to me the very worst kind of liars..the kind that tend to get away with it the most.because they're mixing a bit of fact with fiction. Very dangerous, they often go about destroying lives & reputations of others - this kind of lie is normally based in jealousy.
It can also be based on self pride if a person exagerates to make themselves appear better in a certain situation.
I think people know damned well when they're lying. Now whether they CHOOSE to deny that is yet another lie & a refusal to be personally responsible.
It's said by some that if a person continually lies about situations, then over a period of years that lie can become confused in the liars brain & they MAY even end up believing it themselves...I think that's another lie...
I believe that we all live in the fantasy world, at least from time to time. it's just that some people can cope with their fantasies, and some can't.
No we live on the moon with Elvis in his big red london bus !

My ex was a pathological liar, but never about anything serious. If she strung two sentences together then I knew one was probably a lie. It was bizarre and very hard to live with.

I thought about it, and observed her behaviour and I came to the conclusion that she would have some sort of sensory experience which when it was being stored in her brain was then distorted to fit her map of the world. The result was that when she recounted the experience it came out distorted.

The wierd thing was that I used to let most of it go, but occasionally when she came out with a ridiculous whopper that was blatantly untrue and I challenged it she would argue like her life depended on it and refuse to see the facts.

The other strange thing was that if her father strung two sentences together I knew both were a lie, he was 'the' billy liar. He told so many lies no-one believed him when he said he had a fatal illness (For the third time) and I had to go and see his corpse before I would believe he was dead.

I used to wonder what was going on, but got divorced instead so who gives a damn. last I heard my kids were sick of all the lies I hid them from.

All the best
It depends on why they are lying. Most people i would say lie at some time. Some people are compulsive liars and i would say that they do live in a fantasy land.
I once worked with a man who used to tell us the most bizarre things about his life but i think he just felt inadequate and was trying to impress us - sad!.
You're making massive generalizations, you douches.
You can't just chuck them into the category of liars.
Use your frickin' heads and get some logic.
