What are the aims of propaganda? what are methods or techniques of propaganda?
Answer:
Propaganda is used to sway minds to an opposing viewpoint. Its most commons uses are during wartime, when flyers are dropped, etc. A political campaing is a good example of propaganda. TV ads, radio ads, mailers, etc. All of this serves to get name recognition, and to convince the "subjects" that a particular candidate is better than another one.
During WWII, the Japanese were protrayed as having buck teeth and glasses! In 1954, I moved to Japan for a year and learned from my landlord's daughter, that during the war, the Americans were portrayed with big noses!! It seems to be designed to reduce the enemy to the level of inferiority and of ridicule! To reduce our fear of other unknown peoples.
