Wouldn't it be better if humans didn't have the sensation of hunger?
tin fact, what scientifically causes hunger?
Answer:
Hunger is a feeling experienced when the glycogen level of the liver falls below a threshold, usually followed by a desire to eat. The usually unpleasant feeling originates in the hypothalamus and is released through receptors in the liver. Although an average nourished human can survive weeks without food intake.
If we didn't feel hunger, we'd forget to eat, pass out all alone, and never wake up. Or maybe not.
It would be cool to only need sunlight and water to survive, like plants.
There's a problem with that. We eat because we need energy to do daily things. If we don't sense the sensation of hunger, we won't know when to eat. We can basically starve ourself to death and won't even know it. What causes hunger? The lack of food.
Then how would we be able to tell if we need to eat? We could be starving ourselves and not know it.
No because we would probably starve to death!
Eating is one of life's greatest pleasures to some people...i wouldn't want to deprive them of that...although it would be healthier for the obese if they didn't have that sensation
You need the sensation of hunger so that you eat and feed the cells that do a lot of work in your body (organs) to sustain your life.
It all happens in the hypothalamus of the brain which regulates body temperature and food intake among other things.
No, our bodies thrive on the energy we get when we consume food. Our bodies are not able to produce its own food like plants...so logically we would die. Presently, that probably wouldn't happen because people like to eat, especially when they aren't hungry. It's because food taste so good. But, in the past, when food was deplorable, people would have starved.
