Tomorrow is my mother's birthday and my uncle's one year after his death, by suicide. How should I feel?
What should I celebrate?
Thank you very much for your answers!
Answer:
You should feel happy.. Celebrate your mums birthday, i dont know what happened to your uncle, but celebrate his life as well if you can, dont make it an unhappy day, I know its hard to lose someone and thats unfortunate that its fallen on your mums birthday, but everyone should enjoy their birthday.
Happy Birthday for your Mum! and Im sure your uncle will be in al your thoughts tomoro.
Good luck with everything hun... xx
you should be happy for your mums birthday as im sure your uncle wouldnt want to see you sad
you should buy something or do something that reminds you of him and get pissed!
Be therefor your mum, do what she wants but never forget in your heart what day it is also! i know it'll be hard but it'll be better for you because your not as torn in to parts as you would be if you didnt do anything for both.
celebrate life!
always!
I'm sorry about your uncle, and I'm sure you'll be thinking about him, but those of us who decided life is worth living, should make it as wonderful as it can be.
you should feel as you feel and celebrate the fact that you and Mom are still drawing breath.
It gets tough at times but were there's life, there is hope.
As long as you're above ground there's the opportunity to make things better.
(I don't mean to be insensitive to your situation and I apologize if I seem that way.)
hmmm
i think you should focuss on the things you can make better and simply celebrate your mothers birthday,,
Whats the point of worrying, you have done plenty of that in the last year already i am sure... so put it behind you
you should in no way feel any guilt for morning the loss of your uncle,, im sure you have already been through that. Now Move on,, look ahead and dwell not on the past friend.
Your mum would love it, for you to give her a much deserved good time, and to enjoy her company while you and her are alive. take her out for dinner somewhere fun and active. with lots of people so you dont get the chance to dwell on the things that may only hinder.
Peace be with you
My addvice to you hon! Go with the living...the dead can wait
