I believe we are predisposed to certain talents, but those talents must be augmented with learning and experience in order to take root.
I believe we are born with a greater or lesser aptitude for different skills - math, science, language, etc. based on genetics. But again, we must have the opportunity to learn and experience these skills for them to develop properly.
