Great question. It's a situation I deal with everyday. I can feel your pain, that's for sure. The best answer is: you walk the dog. Generally, larger dogs are best at taking owners for walks. Puppys, too, with all their excitement are great with taking you for a walk. The best thing is training and the lead you use. A chock collar always works best for my dogs. When they start that business of taking you for walks, pull on the chock collar and they'll quickly learn to walk closer to you.
