Why do we care, if other people don't?

Sometimes when people do not care, we will care more, some of us will care so much that we can feel something from those that do not, without people caring even when others don't we would live in a sad world. We also care for the hopeless, the sad, and for the unfortunate, we provide hope for those just by caring. of course we will be the ones that hurt, that is because we care.
caring is an attribute that all do not have or display. it is a good thing to care
thats what ive wondered my whole life and never came up with a good anser other than you soul makes you are. wish i could not care sometimes
perhaps you need to define what caring is to you and what you really care about and why and start from there, if your kind of caring is not really caring perhaps that is why no one else cares or maybe others do care and you are just not sure what they care about and who they are yet?
