INTPs are good at math and science right? then why do i suck at math?
i took the mryersbrig test thing and my doc told me i scored as a INTP. all right cool i been reasing about it and it sounds right...except for one part. it said INTPs are good at math and science. ok i am usualy great at science, but i suck at math. i failed algibra in highchool and fail 2 terms of it in college so far. some thing is wrong here me thinks.

INTPs like the discovery and anylysis that goes with math and science however, you probably also lack discipline and get bored very often..I you fail to see how you can apply the knowledge, you may be quick to dismiss it..In College look into course that require applied knowledge, but are also theoretical Economics for example.. Hope that works..
Something IS wrong here. It's the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. The theory, the test, the typing results, all are based on the philosophical musings of Carl Jung nearly 90 years ago, before 99% of brain science and psychological research had been done. 50 years of validity research about the MBTI has never demonstrated adequate or convincing reliability or validity. We know a lot more about the brain, psychology and the true parameters of personality than was known back in 1920.
Bottom line is that the MBTI type descriptions are a lot of fun and they're quite popular, but so is astrology, and neither are good predicters of human behavior at all.
THAT is what's wrong here.
Of all the 16 types, INTPs are the most logical and verbally precise individuals.
They are also highly critical of themselves and others if a certain standard (theirs) is not achieved.
By the way I reckon anyone can be good at math if they work on it. It's not rocket science, its logic.
