Why am I afraid of everything?

I am almost 19 years old and I am afraid of everything! Not literally, but of things I don't think I should be afraid of. I'm afraid of dolls, clowns, masks, the dark, the silent, of open doors, walking out of a room if the door is closed. I'm even afraid of some kinds of music. I have a constant fear of knives and being stabbed. I'm afraid of being home alone. If I'm the last one up, I sleep in the living room because I am too afraid to walk down the hallway at night. I always feel like there is someone else around when I know there isn't. Sometimes it gets so bad that I'm afraid to have my back turned to anything. Like I said, I am almost 19 years old and I know I need to grow up and face my fears. I just don't know how. Why am I afraid of everything and how do I get past my pathetic fears??

Answer:
It is like this. The more happiness and peace of mind you have, then the less fear you have. The less happiness you have, the more fear you have. You need to feel more perfect peace and limitless happiness. Read article on site below for more on this.
Jee,get some rest.Your paronoid.When I don't get enough rest I get paronoid.
im the same with spiders .. there was one in my room tonight now i cant sleep untill tomorrow when everyone gets up ..

Generalized anxiety disorder. You seem to have a lot of phobias that while you don't think they're common, they are. I would advise you to see a psychologist. You should work on systematic desensitization and breathing techniques. Virtual reality therapy is another technique as well as observational modeling that may help you. Make an appointment with a professional. It is not at all uncommon or weird. Good luck & fears can be terrible limiting factors in terms of what you can/cannot do in your life, so it's best to get help as early as possible.
Generalized fear is, at its heart, the fear of death. Learn to confront all your fears individually, or merely come to terms with the fact that you will die eventually, and your other fears will melt away. I've reached the point where I know no fear. LOATHING, I know!
Its not pathetic - everyone is scared of something. Try talking to your doctor, they can help you get past your fears.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Don't be afraid...it's your fleshiness thats got a hold.
generally, you believe in ghost, monster, or things like that. dont worry, there are no such things. you are being superstitious. i bet you watch a lot of horror movies, murder case tv show and stuffs like that when you were young. thats how you have all those thoughts in your mind. dolls are toy, mask is prop, clowns are human, whats so scary?
ok, when you are afraid, turn on the music, listen to the radio, watch comedy tv shows, read some magazine, sing out loud and dance around, or play some video games. this will ehlp you to forget all your scary thoughts in your mind.
Oh,damn that sucks, i have a similar problem just not all that stuff, feel free to email me to talk about it. I'm already 19
there is usually something in the past that makes you afraid of something. having this many fears isn't abnormal but you need to get some counselling or something
kiikart is right. Therapy can help you find out the reasons for all these fears and help you overcome them. Your life will be a thousand times better if you do. If you are in college, there may be counselling services available. If you are afraid to go sign up for therapy, get someone to go with you. You will be very glad you did as your life starts to change for the better. There is nothing pathetic about it, but it is certainly curable. Go for it!
try to lighten up a bit.
You need to see a counselor. This could be signs of repressed memories or past life carry over. Whatever the reason you need to deal with it and get control of your life.
