Why do i keep dreaming of my dead mother over and over?

Perhaps there is some sense of a lack of clousure. Maybe there is some sense of unsettled acceptance of the fact on some conscience level or subconsceince level.
Is there anyone near you that has some risk of the same order?
I think that subconciously we dream about our loved ones, because even after 16 years you can miss them. My brother died 48 years ago, and even though I have not dreamt of him in a long time I still miss him.
i am sorry about your mother, life must be really hard. i think you are having those dreams because you just miss her and wish she could be here.
my mom also died of cancer, but 20 yrs ago. i used to continually dream of her, and the house we lived at. i think it was because of some unresolved guilt and pain of her death. if you are female, you may be going thru some things in your life that moms would understand {wedding, kids, etc} and help with which also makes it harder to have that person absent from your life and can trigger feelings of what you are missing.
