Why does my head hurt?
Answer:
I think you are doing the right thing to make a decision based on data you have at that time, and later checking to see if it worked on that. I think that is intelligent.
One thing I have learned is to make a decision and stick to it. That takes a lot of the other intervening factors away and makes things simpler.
if you, to the best of your ability, make a decision, don't go back & try to figure out if it was the right one or not. i think that w/ time, how things work out will eventually lead you to the conclusion if it was good or bad ... you don't have to make yourself sick second guessing yourself.
i think that the only way we learn things is by making mistakes & then making sure we don't make the same ones, but we can't always keep from making mistakes all together.
i think that you worry too much, and you probably waste more time than you should.
it's good to analyze something & research it BEFORE making a decision, but once you make it ... let time tell. you're making life more difficult for yourself. that's not healthy. no wonder your head hurts!
learn to relax a bit. knowing you have this problem is the first step. now try to stop the cycle.
Some people are open minded, and some just strictly follow rules, each are made differently from the other, but they are all ok. I mean like some people can be a cpa or in law, and others are creative like musicians. Different parts of their brains are working (right brain or left brain).
The problem comes in when you can't make a pat decision. You've made it but you don't trust your abilities so you continually try to prove that what you decided was right. Or maybe it's because you're afraid you will be wrong and lose your job and income. Or maybe you feel you haven't had enough time to make a good decision. Or the decision you made you're not happy with or secure in and your esp is bothering you (your gut feeling). So figure out which it is.
You can plan ahead, have enough time for your decision, have others help you research and then pull all your resources knowing that you aren't the only person making the decision, or take polls among your peers, and then make the decision, close the file and move on (put it in the past).and take on your next project knowing that you've made the best possible decision. You can't keep bringing past decisions up in your life and mind because time just doesn't permit that, and life moves on for everyone.
My husband always tells me "If I had a head like that it would hurt too." Don't think too much about things. If your decision was the best at that moment that is all you need. People spend too much time analyzing the past and not living in the now. You can't change the past make the best of what you have and move on.
