Deja vu memories?

I keep having really weird deja vu. Its so strong at moments where something pops into my head, not like a vision or anything like that (i'm not claiming to be psychic), but like a memory. its SO STRONG! like its already happened and I'm remembering it, but it hasn't happened, then its gone. I can still remember it, but it doesn't feel the same. I'm not imagining this, I mean I thought I was at first but I'm not. Its just random things, one time I was in the car with my parents and i had deja vu, and it was like i remembered the car ride and i listened to my parents conversation and it was word for word what was in my deja vu memory. i know thats sounds stupid but when it happens then i think about it drives me insane! I can't stand it and i wish it would just stop! It's starting to happen more and more and i'm wondering if theres something wrong with my head. what is this?? should I see a doctor??

Answer:
Olivia, you are not having a problem with the memories themselves, but are freaking out over what you think about them. You stated "but when it happens then I think about it and it drives me insane. It is not the memories that are bothering you, but what you think about them is. Why can't you just see these memories as they come and understand that they are just the feeling of 'having done this before'? There is no need to freak out about them. You could look at them as a gift that you need to understand. Why am I having these feelings? What does this mean? Olivia, do you have all of the answers? No, and neither do I, so just calm down and understand that the universe speaks to all of us in different ways. Learn from your experiences. It just may be that 'the Divine Creator' is speaking to you in a language that few, besides yourself, can hear. Perhaps you are psychic! Use your abilities, and the situation that you find yourself in, to make the world a better place for all and you have nothing to fear.
..A deja vu experience could come from anything. Some examples -

1. A dream. An image in a dream can be so much like a present waking experience that you feel it has happened before.

2. A similar past experience that is so much like a present experience that you feel it has happened before.

The only thing that's wrong is that you're allowing yourself to be afraid, thinking it's something magical or abnormal. That's nonsense. People have these experiences all the time. I have them almost every week. They don't mean anything at all. You don't have a thing to worry about.
