Living with a very charismatic person - how to get people on your side?Everybody believes him and not me!?

I am an artist and my partner is an artist too. He's extremely charismatic (and violent!) and everybody simply adores him. We've been together for many years but he doesn't want anybody to know it. Whenever people ask him about his private life, he replies he's single. We bought a flat together so we cannot separate for the moment. I have nowhere to go and no money on my account. However,I am about to become very famous and I don't want people to know about my difficult relationship. I would be so emabarassed! But, they will get to know it and this idea terrifies me. I'm very successful but people around me wouldn't accept me if I was single. My family doesn't care about me. I have absolutely nobody to support me if things go wrong. On the other hand, I have a great talent and people admire me for that. I would love to share it with others but I don't want anybody to discover my real life.In a way, I'm blocking my career because I don't want to disclose my personal problems.Help!

Answer:
If you will soon be very famous, I would research how other famous people keep their personal lives private and follow their course of action. When you become famous, maybe you will also have money and be able to move from your flat and relationship. If your partner says he is single, he probably acts and thinks that way too. So what have you got to loose by leaving? I think you let too much emphasis be put on your identity by what others may possibly think.
it seems if you are going to be famous based on your talent you shouldn't worry about what people think of your private life. What would your art have to do with you having a partner or not? Just be confident.
