Why do people make up there minds about other peoples personality by asking colours and best food dishes?

People want to understand and to predict behavior of other people. That is why they try to put them into different categories. Horoscopes do the same thing. Once you put a person in a category, however unreasonable it is, you get a feeling as if you understand the other person more. The other person becomes less puzzling and you think that you can predict them.

I think that basically sums up my personality in a nutshell.
Some people feel that if they can analyze someone by their habits, they have them pinned down. People just need to feel like they are right, and by making an opinion about someone else, they are. At least they like to think so.
Because they are shallow idiots?
