When you get stressed how do you handle it?



Answer:
Go on a walk, get away from the place that you are feeling stressed in.
Think that there are people more worse off that you.!
I go on a long steep hike, try to reach a mountain peak, 6-10 hours is a good length
I vent to someone.. It helps!
I either play Halo, or I go for a run. Try running your head under warm water and then eating soup, if you think I'm kidding your wrong. Both are so good, it takes your mind off things for a while.

You can always have sex.Unless that's why you're stressed.
I use to smoke, but I have had to find a different way to release stress. I have taken up running/jogging now since I just quit smoking. (42) days. I love to read. But mostly I play with my animals.
Do something you enjoy, and that is mentally engaging enough to get your mind off whatever is stressing you. Also, physical activity/exercise is good. What works for me is to get on my bike and ride! Good luck.
First step is to learn how to recognise the stress as early as possible, then use meditation and control techniques. But the best way is avoidance, get to know what conditions stress you and stop them from affecting you beforehand.
Yoga or relaxation techniques, mindfulness works well
I cry. I just have to get it out of my system.
Drugs, prescribed by my doctor, help me through. I take elavil and celexa everyday and halcion at night, if I have trouble getting to sleep. I've tried other methods to handle the stress, but none have succeeded, much to my dismay. I don't do illegal drugs, and never have, nor do I drink or smoke. Maybe thats part of the reason I'm so stressed. I hope not.
