Effect of supervision?

Does anyone know the name of the effect caused by somebody supervising what you are doing?

I remember I learned it, but I cant remember the name... It was an experiment done to test how different light levels affect people's work... but it turns out that the more attention the experimenters gave to the workers.. the better they did, the light didnt matter.
