What do you do when you get down or depressed about something how do you recover or bounce back ?
I am a little depressed at the moment any pointers on how to cope with it ?
Answer:
Work, escape with a book, movie or tv. Hang with some positive friends, or just spend time talking with a good friend. I always have at the back of my mind the words "This too shall pass".
play some cheerful music
watch a TV comedy, or a comedy movie
take a walk outdoors in nature
phone a friend who can make me laugh
exercise
Exercise always helps me.
draw, sing, love, express yourself wonderfully
Work out. Physical activities increase the endorphins (the feel good hormone) in your body. I'm going through a rough patch too. Just remember that it's a part of life and for every low point there is a high one that follows!
Make a firm plan never to let yourself get into the same situation again. Do what ever is needed to get yourself out of any depressing place. Be free of your bonds. Love yourself.
everyone has different ways of bouncing back depending on how far u have fallen and how willing and positive u are to get back up, wat works for me, I picture that strong woman I want to be, the one that fears nothing, walks in and lights up the room, and faces problems already knowing that she will overcome them with the right attitude, bold, powerful, and fearless, ..I give up who I am because I am weak, and I pray, ask for the transformation, and Become that Woman..And it feels Great!! many people can try to help u by saying "good"things, but u know that at the end of the night, u lay in bed facing the problem all by urself, Only u can take that step to change. I pretty sure u love urself, now, love urself enough to say to urself, "I only deserve the Best and I will pull thru this bull and do whatever It takes toover come cuz I WILL Laugh, Smile, have a good time and BE HAPPY, !"
try and get involved or immersed in something, get up, go out, go for a walk, tidy your house, hoover your car, do a decent grocery shop, throw out your old clothes etc, organise your finances, once you are on top of the little things that you may have been putting off you will have less stuff hanging over you, you will feel more positive from having achieved these little things, and then your mood will start to improve. Then re-evaluate your life, work out what your goals are and start working towards them, what ever they are. i find that if i have a clear goal and start the ball rolling things will line up one after the other to help you on your way to achieving it. even the things that seem like a set back, often you will look back and realise if that unfortunate thing hadnt happend you wouldnt of ended up where you needed to be... then you end up being a positive person... and when you get 'up' stay there, take note of the things/people that make you feel good, be being positive, about everything and everyone. everything happens for a reason, if something is very very difficult, maybe its jut not meant to be, maybe you are looking at it in the wrong light... step back and try something else.
I pray and talk to my mom who really understands what I am going through. I also go outside and get some exercise. I usually come back feeling refreshed and more alive.
thsi is what my teacher told me, his major was psychology.
you got to train yourself, for example when there is a time when something happy/fun happens remind your self such as an action, or sound (snap clap, snort, sqeaul, etc.). remeber everytime something good happens make the smae action/sound. so next time you lauh with freind or something REALLLYYY happy/ funny happens make the sound/action. that way next time you as sad/not feeling good, make that sound/ action to remind you of the good times.
btw, its training yourself so you need paitence
