Do you think movies are bad for our bodies?
Do you think this is really necessary to do to ourselves? Make our bodies react to something that is not real? Over time, do you think it is going to make a difference to your health?
Answer:
Woo-Hoo!!!
I wanna know what kinda movies YOU are watching!
Sounds Fun!
no, movies don't make that much difference in real life. besides we need the adrenaline
I really doubt it, I mean you see them on TV and know they're not real, unless it's a documentary of course. It depends on the type of movie too. BUt I guess some movies have enough power to affect us all, but I doubt it will do any harm to us, unless we have previous health problems and the movie just brings on the reactions.
I don't think so. When we are put under stress (like a scary movie) we have a stress system that kicks into gear and raises our heart rate and our body temperature, but when the stress is removed these things lower. Only if you put your body under long-term, heavy stress does it harm your body. Then you go into what is called exhaustion.
what about popping a chub while watching a porn? as long as it rises, it lives.
Actually you could very well be right. I know that I do not watch certain movies; horror, war and some action thrillers even though I love them, simply because at times they give me heart palpitations and this is not good. These movies do bring on the "flight or fight" action in a human being and this can lead to a great deal of stress. We have all been told that too much stress can lead to heart disease, heart attacks, diabetes and stroke. So maybe a slow moving comedy can bore us but it keeps us mellow.
I think we VIEW the experiences of the characters in the movies but don't really go through all their feelings. Are you as scared as the guy being chased with an ax in a horror movie? And when I watch a comedy or romantic comedy I think it releases good emotions and helps you stay healthy. I find everyday life much more disturbing than watching movies and probably more damaging to my health over time.
