How do our sensory systems work?

Answer:
All of them work differently, but basically the various types of nerves that correspond to the senses send messages to the brain, which are interpreted into sensations.
Energy from the environment is collected by the body's sensory collectors and is converted to electrochemical, or neural, energy through a process called transduction. This energy is then presented to brain processes for analysis and action.
