Tips to help get over eating disorders?
Answer:
I have 2 friends who faced eating disorders, and for them, the problem was not with their body, but with something else in their life.
Think about it - do you have a problem that's bugging you for a long while? Something you can't control but wish you could? Do you want to compensate for something you don't like in your personality by being thin?... The source of the eating disorder is usually something like this. It might not be obvious, especially if it's been going on for a long time, but sit down and really think about this. Maybe you'll find an answer. If so, take care of that problem, and it should help you with your eating disorder.
You also need to develop better habits. Start with the one of looking at a problem objectively, instead of diving into the easiest and most self-destructive so-called solution. Don't allow yourself to get depressed or desperate. React in a positive, useful way whenever something bugs you.
I wish you the best of luck in dealing with this. You can overcome it if you've come this far. Everyone deserves to be happy, and it's a shame some people keep themselves from it without any reason whatsoever.
please get some real help. I can't offer you any tips as I have not experienced an eating disorder, sure I feel guilty if I have a major pig out but I guess that's normal. Try and concentrate on eating for good health rather than to be skinny. Do get help though, I was friends with a girl in high school and we kind of ignored her warning signs and she has had anorexia for 15 years or so now, even if there was a miracle cure for her she has done so much damage to her organs now that is irreversible.
I wish I could tell you something so profound that it would solve your problem with the snap of a finger but I'm only guessing so here it goes.
I'm guessing that every time you think about it you're looking at yourself or you're eating and you're not certain that everything is OK but that's specifically what you need to think. That everything is OK. That you're fine just how you are and if you don't like the word fine replace it with great or whatever makes you feel good about yourself. And if you can't stop thinking about it just do something that makes you focus like you're meditating.
Oh yea tell yourself that you're beautiful cuz I'm sure u are.
this is what I did..I don't know if it will work for you..I start by eating things like fruit and yogurt then on to milkshakes..very small portions of what ever you or your mom/dad cooks. And then slowly I get to where I can eat again. When I get stress I can't eat and I have a lot of stress and go days without eating then I have to start all over and start with easy, smooth, things and then slowly I get a appetite.I just go slow
