Sometimes I imagine that when I die far into the future, and I speak to God, and he shows me my life on Earth.
He shows me the times when I thought I was ugly, and how at the same time peoples thoughts were how beautiful I was.
He shows me the times when I thought no one liked me, and I felt soo insecure, and in reality the people around me were just jealous because they thought I was so confidant and secure.
He shows me the times when I cried and he was sitting right next to me, trying to make me see that happiness is here, I just need to live it.
We create our lives. You can find thoughts and actions to make you happy, just like you can to make yourself sad.
It'll always be a challenge, but you CAN live happy.

I have personally experienced great comfort in a time of awful darkness by crying out to God. Any human remedy would tend to be very temporary but the work I had done in me by him during the pain was lasting. …and the work continues.
This is open to all that would call on God for help in a time of need. There is a vital caveat to that, btw. We have to enter by the door. The door is a person. A few examples of a place to learn about entering through this door:
