I feel different ages when I'm placed in different situations. At work, I feel like I'm 35 because my students need me to be their pillar of strength.
When I'm with my boyfriend, I feel really young and protected.
When I'm with my girlfriends, I feel 28 (my age).

Hi Ginger,
I think it depends on what I am doing, who I am with and circumstances at the time, on how old I am feeling. My children and the grand children help to keep me young in outlook but sometimes when I’m with them and compare my energy levels with theirs, I feel old. This weekend we had the grandchildren staying with us and I pulled a face at some music they were listening to and was told “You must be old grandma if you don’t like that!” But then I sang along with some nursery rhymes to stop baby from crying and was told I was young again! Age is just a number and it’s a number in life we have no control over. It is no more than a circumstantial detail but it does not define who we are. We can enjoy life and have fun whether we are old or young. We can continue learning and enjoying new experiences no matter what our age. We can’t and shouldn’t waste our time thinking we’re ‘too old’ to do this or that. If we want to try something different, we should do it. I think I stopped counting when I reached 30. I think in outlook I shall stay in my thirties all my life!!
