I have to much empathy. Somethings wrong with me. I cry for strangers, and hurt for those less fortunate. I am by no means fortunate, but I empathize so much with those little kids in Africa who are homeless and hungry. Once I saw a BBC special about homeless Mexican boys who are addicted to sniffing glue, my eyes were red and puffy all day from how much I cried and wished I could bring them all here to live with me.
I cry the most for the families of soldiers, and for the Iraqi people.

Of course I would cry for a stranger - there are many incidences where you can feel the vulnerability or hurt emanating from a complete stranger - very easy to give crass answers, crass remarks, crass jokes at others expense - equally just as easy to feel for them, sympathise and feel a lump in the throat.
absolutely! The news has me tearing up quite frequently. A little two year old died because his drug addicted mother just let him stay where he fell down a flight of stairs. She was affraid to call 911 because she didn't have custody. I cried for him.
Yes. I am an empathetic person. Empathy is a necessary ability if one is to make the world a better place for everyone. I have no overt rescue tendencies, nor do I enable anyone. But empathy requires sensitivity, and genuine interest. I have cried for many strangers. Crying is a wonderful ability that relieves psychic pain, as well as irrigating ones eyes, and irrigating our nasal membranes.
Yes, but I don't necessarily always cry about it. When I hear of something horrible happening in the world it usually sends me into a depression for a few days because it seems like the world is only getting worse.
