He is in a defensive posture, doubly defensive because every possible limb is crossed.
He is afraid of being emasculated, and is covering the goods. This of course can be figurative and not literal.
if im picturing it right...it seems like the man is afraid of getting hit in the balls.
its actually quite comfortable when your tired. since your crossed hands are supporting you from bending over to much; as does th crossed legs
