dreams cant cause death under no circumstances! maybe you will die of a heartattack of old age in sleep but it wont be related to your dreams..
the fact that you get close death experience in your dream confirms that your body is preparing to wake up! this is how brain works.. in about 2-3 seconds before you wake up your brain creats all those crazy dreams .. the dream seems like hours long but its only 2-3 seconds long! thats a proven fact.
I've dreamt of my own death plenty of times. I'm a long time sufferer of nightmares. I'm still here obviously. I even went to my own funeral once in a dream after I had been stabbed. Kinda freaky.
No. That sounds like a silly superstition to me. It would be like having a nightmare, and thus, one couldn't die peacefully in his or her sleep, as the saying goes. But who really knows what a person thinks while he or she is asleep and on the verge of death.

No, my husband dreamt he drowned, and he didnt die, but changed his whole entire life, after an accident.
That's pretty scary to dream about and believe me I have dreamt it before.but I always wake up from my a dream like that.maybe it's true, maybe some people actually die and maybe some don't! For the most part it rarelly happens :)
