Does it ever get better?
Do these depressive teen hormones ever fade? I'm hoping things will get easier as i age.
Answer:
Lemme see, I barricaded myself in my room at 13. I've been called "moody" since then. There have been times when life was wonderful.
Keep in mind that you have a noticed a difference in yourself. Keep track of it. If it doesn't let up, or returns soon, get to a counselor. Sometimes, the mood swings get worse with age.
yes yes
It can get better , if you decide that it will.
Believe it or not they will fade, or at least be replaced by other stuff that you have to deal with as an adult
You just keep trading one thing for another all of your life
yes it most defiantly gets better.. Some say teen years are the hardest years of your life. Its all up to you though, if you want to get better, and you wanna go out there and make a difference in your life, then that is what is going to happen.
Yes, it gets better. Then it gets worse. There will come a time in the not-so-distant-future, when you will wish that you could be a teen again and not have much responsibility. Enjoy your childhood while it lasts. Once it's gone, you will never get it back!
abshilootly.
It may or it may not if you don't treat it. Depression is not normal. Feeling blue or down once in a while is normal. Feeling depressed that last for days needs attention and treatment. Please talk with your parents and see a doctor and a therapist. Depression left untreated gets worse and more treatment resistant over the years. If your serotonin is out of whack, an antidepressant can make your life so much better. Good luck to you.
well, that depends on how you see yourself, the world, and the future. if you think everything if full of sh*t and everything is working against you, then no, it won't get better. however, if you are hopeful, if you choose to see the good side of life, and if you work towards your dreams, even if you may be struggling sometimes, things will get better.

Yes I feel you!! It does get easier unless you have some serious disorder. The type of strength you hold inside is obvious by your question. You will make it thru this. Remember: Our character is like a muscle. It will get stronger with excercise. So the more problems you deal with emotionaly on a daily basis, the more you are excercising your ability to deal with them.
Your not too young to practice putting things into perspective to lessen emotional pain too... that helped me so much.
There are things about your life you will miss later too. Dont let your worries overshadow those good things happening. Practice mindfullness as in the buddhist tradition and that will help focus on the here and now :)
If you can, read Dr. Joan Borensynko's book "the Power of the mind to heal" She runs a whole body clinic for the purpose of teaching people how to naturally balance hormons, emotions and illness.
yup definitely. There is a certain age that you can develop self-control. There is also an age that you develop lesser hormones as you grow older, but it is mostly self-control at first. You better learn it or you will become too involved in it to think. Good luck! ;-)
