I think I am afraid of the dark...?
I mean, I always say to myself, it's the same as when there are lights on...but I always get scared neway...

If you think you are afraid of the dark, you will be. So why not think about how you prefer it to be? It's that simple, honest.
Play with a flashlight in the dark and then keep it by your bed. When you wake up you will have it there by your side to protect you from the things that go bump in the night.

No! but I will help you run back and forth anywhere in the house you want!. The other thing you can do, is use a night light, or a light, turn it on, or You just might be afraid of your house.
ok i kind of know what ur going through but my sis she is so scared she wakes me up to take her to the bathroom in the middle of the night! and i think u should just leave the kitchen light on that is what we do and it helps my sis and stop watching scary movies and keep telling ur self nothing is going to happen.
i guess i have the same problem.. im not afraid of the dark.. but i get paranoied.. just cause i cant see whats there.. you know.. but yea.. turn lights on if u have too.. just get to them quickly.. or get a flashlight to put by ur bed (like someone else said)
I have that fear of the dark to like whenever my hallway is dark but at the other end the room's in there are lit up I run for my life through the hallway and into my room. Never found overcame the fear..Even though i didn't watch any scary movies. And my parents don't let me have a nightlight cause they say im too big even though im 11 years old
HAHA... i sprint down the hallway too when theres no lights on haha. I feel really paraniod and as if someone is watching me.. I sleep with the light on or listen to music that really helps, it helps you forget about it.

i'm the same way! no kidding. but what i do is just carry my cell phone with me and i'm good. when you get a lil freaked, just open it up and shine the light around. and when you wake up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, turn on a little night lamp next to your bed. heck, carry a baseball bat around if you're that freaked. and i'm not being sarcastic either. if your problem is not feeling safe, then get an alarm system or add extra locks to your door. but if you're young, and don't have a choice, then talk to your parents abuot it. they'll understand.
you're obsessing over something thats not there. Maybe you need some cognitive theapy or EMDR therapy
It could be a spirit presence that's making you uncomfortable, but it's nothing to be scared about. If so, just tell the spirit to leave your house and follow the light.,
I have this fear slightly and its OK!! Try putting out some nightlights. it helped me.
