someone is ugly when they take pleasure in hurting others. Or if they are completely indifferent to other people's feelings.
Bad hygiene
Bad manners
and people without social skills and bad language.

there are two kinds of ugliness.
1) physical ugliness- not being attractive to anyone or everyone.
2) ugliness on the inside- a cruel person who enjoys being cold-hearted and has little sympathy for others. also, when they lack civility and have bad manners. it's basically when you act horribly to others and like it.
I would say it would have to depend on a person's opinion. I would think ugly might be one thing while another might think something else.

ugliness. when someone calls themselves ugly they cannot accept themselves as who they are... unique. when someone calls another individual ugly. they may very well be jealous. or afraid of what others have to offer. everyone is unique.

for me ugliness is when a person have a self-pity and make believe that he/she is ugly another thing is when a person can't accept the fact that all human have our own strengths and weaknesses.
