Do you know any good scientific references on career counseling for the obese?

I need resources from the counselor point of view...not the client. Thanks!

Answer:
If you suspect you've been turned down for a position because of your weight, don't plan to get better treatment by going to court. It's true that female flight attendants sacked by Chicago-based United Airlines six years ago for being overweight won a class-action suit against the carrier in June. But United has appealed the judgment and the case is expected to drag on for several more years.

The reality is that overweight professionals have little recourse when it comes to discrimination -- particularly when it involves a job they don't even hold.
