seriously though, i am afraid of the dark, that's just not the reason why. i'm not sure why i'm afraid of the dark. it's mental, i kno, cuz at night i'm always a punk, but in the day i'm daring and silly. like, if i'm in my room at night, i always have two of my dogs with me. the weird thing is i'm confused of what i'm afraid of, i just kno i'm afraid. that's so freakin weird.lol.call me crazy, but yep yep, i'm afraid of the dark.
I used to be when I was a kid.
Dark meant to me that something that I didn't know what, could be there, and would spring out at me, and hurt me or something.
As an adult, I realize that just because I cannot see what is there, doesn't mean there is something dangerous, and generally speaking, there isn't something dangerous. So I'm not afraid anymore.
No I actually like the dark. Sometimes it makes me feel safer.
i LOVE the dark, when i go to bed at night i cover all lights in my room ...even my alarm clock is to bright and i cover it with a towel. i can not fall asleep with anything on.
and its so relaxing to be in the dark...to me anyway.
and i see nothign wrong with someone who is.

When it pitch black - no stars,shadows or moon - light that I could adjust to. Yes - then I am.
Then I don't know if I can touch anything,move
or hear without making things worse ... euw.
Im ok with the dark. BUT I'm chicken pooop when it comes to watching scary movies at night, hearing ghost stories at night .. then I'm scared. scared enough to always want someone there with me to go use the restroom (well they'd have to be outside the door), get something from the kitchen .. etc.
OK- I still believe in monsters and I'm 13 (no joke!) Yes, I've seen Monsters, Inc. (it's my favorite movie!) and I sleep with a nightlight still. Something in the back of my mind keeps telling me I'm too old for this scared-of-monsters junk, though. . .
